  1. Florence Nightingale was a rich girl. Her dad was a big, rich banker. When this girl turned 16 she was supposed to make charity work but she broke the rules and made another thing. She was born on 1820 in Britain. Her name is Florence Nightingale and she was known by another name its the lady with the lamp. When she was 16 she was supposed to be a charity helper, but she wanted to be a nurse. Her dad refused because hospitals were dirty and horrible. So her dad sent her to Italy to forget about it. She didn't and she learned nursing in 3 months. When the crimean war came they needed nurses un hospitals so a man called Sidney Herbert, he was minister for war. He asked her to become a nurse, this was her first chance so she agreed. She went to Turkey with the other nurses to help people. Her job was helping people and writing letters to for people who can't read and write so she was awarded by the order of merit. She pushed the limits in Turkey by helping people and saving many lives. This amazing girl passed away on 1910.

  2. What were the short term and immediate effects of her actions? What was the
impact or the long term effects of her actions? Give examples.
    The short term effect:
First, the Army started training doctors. Second, hospitals got cleaner. Third,
soldiers got better clothes and food. Last of all, in 1860 the Nightingale Training
School for nurses was opened at St Thomas's Hospital in London. Florence's
book Notes for Nursing helped many student nurses. These were the changes or
    the impacts that Florence did.
    The long term effect:
First and the main, the service got much better, second, nurses are more helpful
and kind. Third, there are more beds for patients, fourth, the food is more
healthier, fifth, the doctors are more educated and they use high technology to
heal the patient and last but not the least, less people die and more people are
    saved.

  3. The people opinion about what Florence Nightingale did is about her character. First of all, she was courageous and that what we see from her actions. Brave, she chose to live a hard life instead of a luxury life. Also I think that was a good act and a brave one too. Probably I was surprised because their's no one that can support these conditions of life, like to work twenty hours a day. In addition if I met her I would ask her how did she support these conditions of life. Finally she had made a positive change and opinion in peoples heart.
